FISH began in 2013, but its roots go back much further. After years of working side by side, Chris and Pete realised they shared a rare combination of skills that the marine industry often needed but seldom found in one place. Chris brought decades of hands‑on experience in shop‑floor boatbuilding and production design; an instinctive understanding of how vessels are actually built, not just how they look on paper. Pete arrived with an unshakeable passion for vessel design and engineering, the kind that borders on obsessive in the best possible way.

Blending practical, production‑ready design with rigorous, detail‑driven engineering created something genuinely useful for builders and owners alike. So they took the leap. It wasn’t glamorous - just two people, a lot of hard work, and a belief that they could do things better.

Over ten years on, that hunch has proved itself many times over.
