Job Opportunity - Junior Naval Architect/Design Engineer

Reporting directly to the senior team this role will be key within the company.  Candidates must be comfortable being client facing and working independently in a small diverse group.  Good attention to detail and ability to problem solve is essential.  The role requires the individual to work from initial concepts right through to workshop drawings, to this end a good level of drawing work is essential as is an understanding of the build process right through to final deliverables for class or yard.

Key Job Roles:

• Producing drawings and clear design information for build.

• Liaising/supporting other team members to deliver projects and solutions.

• Engineering calculations.

• Contributing to design solutions.

Candidate should like working as part of a small team and enjoy seeing projects go right through the production process.  Applicants would ideally be competent in Rhino 3D, Excel, Word and have a can-do attitude.  Further background using the Maxsurf suite, knowledge of scantling calculations and solving engineering problems would be advantageous, as would hands on practical experience in the marine sector.

This is an office-based role with some UK travel required as needed.  Due to our office location the candidate will need to have their own means of transport.
